Belgian & Bourbon Funky Brown, Get Down!

The first release in our “Get Down with The Funk” Series of mixed fermentation beers!

Imperial Brown Ale, aged for 6 months in a Bourbon Barrel with a house mixed culture of Brett, Lacto & Pedio, then blended with a "clean" Imperial Brown Ale fermented with Belgian LaChouffe yeast. Mild farmhouse flavors from the mixed fermentation blend nicely with the unique fruit character of the Belgian yeast while a subtle sweetness from the malt backbone lingers throughout.

This beer will be great enjoyed now or will continue to age and develop very nicely for up to 2 years.

10% ABV, 45 IBU
